Following an initial startup at the beginning of the millenium and when european GAA was still very much in it's infancy,
the Frankfurt Sarsfields GAA club fell victim to the booming irish economy with practically the entire team returning to the old sod to
settle down and seek their fortune. In 2008 it was officially launched apparently by a couple of roaming
Frankfurt GAA mercenaries on an all-night train journey from a Budapest GAA tournament and became a full member of CLG na hEorpa in 2009,
competing in it's first pan-European tournament in Munich that year.
The club also competed for the first time in 2010 in the Benelux regional tournament. |
